Voila – AI Assistant, Copilot and AI Writer

I think of Chat GPT 3.5 and GPT 4.0 like gas and Voila like a sports car that burns that gas oh so well. You can work directly with GPT 4.0 by going to the source or you can use Voila with templates and hybridization that makes everything easier. PROS: This is a Chrome Plug in and always available in Chrome. Sometimes I have issues with the trigger as it CTRL-M is used by some of the other programs I use, but not much of an issue as you can also open Voila into its own browser window and go back and forth. I love that this is so intuitive and comes up with answers. This is so much faster and more verbose than going to a search engine. Like a sports car it is also like a filter for your search. If you tell it to come up with five answers you get five, with a Google search you get thousands. CONS: The history is not as robust as Chat GPT direct access but at the same time what you get is trimmed to only your prompts and with that you can basically recreate what you did before. I can see how this saves on storage which is of a premium. Oh the other con is withing GPT itself so not really a problem with Voila, but you need to actually know the subject as you will get an output and I have found that GPT will fake it if it can't find an answer at times. Best to double check the output. I was tempted to let Voila write this review, and truth is I have on other sites. Voila does a great job writing and embellishing whatever you put into it. This program is already one of my main utilities for my toolbox when planning anything. Lastly if you do use Voila and hunt for other programs like I do check with Voila if it can duplicate what the program you are looking at does. There was a RoadTripApp that plans road trips. Before using it I used a well crafted seed to do the same thing and more with Voila. I actually preferred the Voila output. So many uses for this product. If you need to lean more about Voila, just type questions in Voila to find out how to address it. When in doubt just ask. UPDATE: 3/11/2024 I am still loving Voila and all the improvements that have been made to the program since my review. HISTORY... A whole lot different than when I wrote my review. Now you get both prompt and historical output data. This is super helpful in refining your prompts. I can't remember how many custom Actions (Prompts) can be recorded, I am only up to about 8 that I actually use regularly and I know that I can create and store over three times that much by my last count. There are now folders you can make to house your custom actions. Best practices when naming a custom action use a unique three letter combination for the first three letters have it be something you'd remember actually you only need two unique letters as that would give you more than enough unique combinations for the first two letters as if you notice Voila will show all the available custom actions based on how many letters you've typed. For me I have BD: one of my favorites for Birthday Prompt that I've written to wish friends and relatives Happy Birthday, being personal, and saving time in the process. UPDATE: 1/3/2026 Voilà is an AI Wrapper to fall in love with. Easy access to GPT, History, and custom prompts what more could you ask for. Well people do and now Pictures. This AI Wrapper continues to astound me AI's Come and go and this is a product that is continually updated to serve its clients. BTW: Much of my initial CONS have been fixed. The History is plenty robust for me now and Voilà is the perfect middle many interface between user and GPT AI Engine. I now have GPT 5 mini and 5.2 available, but still use my preferred GPT 4.1 most of the time. I'm still also using the Voila Plug in to chrome, so I can't really speak to the desktop application. What I like about it being in Chrome is that it is so portable that way. Happy new year everyone the pricing IMHO is a great.
