Extremely useful for sites that are obnoxiously loud and don't have a volume, my only problem with it is having to turn down the volume every time which is fine except when you go to a site and the audio starts immediately and blares in your ear, so my only suggestion would be to make it so that you can make the volume stay at what you put it at the last time you turned it down or up. that's if Google's rules allow you to do so.

I really liked it and it is very handy. But I hear the audio crackling quite frequently after I alter the volume (whether high or low). I don't know if this is a bug or the result of audio distortion.

This extension is great for listening to lecture recordings. Having individual recordings allows me to boost the volume of just one tab, so when other sounds come through (messages, notifications, music) they aren't boosted and blow out my eardrums.

5 stars. I use it when a video is quieter than usual so that I don't get blasted when I go to the next normal-volume video. Sometimes this extension is necessary even at 100% system volume because the video is so quiet.nnSuggestion: Sometimes 600% is not enough for really quiet videos. You're using linear scaling, so the increases in volume becomes less meaningful as the volume increases: Going from 100% to 150% is a big deal (a 50% increase), but going from 550% to 600% is basically nothing (a 9% increase). To fix this, perhaps the slider units should represent a doubling in volume (similar to using decibels). So going from 0 to 1 will double the volume. And going from 1 to 2 will double the volume again, resulting in 4x the original volume. I.e. linear_volume u003d 2^value. Negative integer values would halve the video volume. Keep the increment at a tenth (each increment would then be a 7% increase/decrease).

Even with hearing aids, my hearing is not all that good. Cranked up to the highest volume on my laptop sometimes is still too low. This is the best thing I can imagine for people like me afflicted with hearing loss.
