Text-to-Speech the text in the displayed tab using Web Speech API.
* Usage:
1. Select the range where you want to start reading
2. Click the PageAction icon (the black “reading” icon in the upper right) and press the “Speech” button
Press Stop to stop reading, Pause to pause, and Resume to resume from pause. Also, if you select "Start (Repeat)", the speech will start again from the beginning after there are no more characters to speak. Pressing "Options" opens the TabSpeech settings page.

Kubuntu で音声が選択できない 素晴らしい拡張機能をありがとうございます。 音声ドロップダウンで日本語の音声を選択できない問題があります。 プルダウンを開いても切り替わらず、読み上げ時に声が変わりません。 ご確認・改善をご検討いただけますと助かります。 OS: Kubuntu [24.04]（[Wayland/X11]） ブラウザ: [Chrome/Braveなど]
右クリックからの「選択範囲のみを発話」が機能しません。Win11、クロームは最新版です。確認すべき設定項目があれば教えてもらえると助かります。 なお、ツールバーからの発話は使えています。 追記 こんなに早く対応していただけるなんて。感謝します。 CaptionSpeakerも便利に使わせていただいています！
saveで設定が保存できなくなってしまいました win10 chrome Speakerの選択だけ保存ができてその下がsaveを押してもページを開き直すと戻ってしまっている 返信＞＞ PCの再起動とキャッシュクリアと削除してインストールしなおしも試しましたが設定をsaveできません saveできるようになりました！ありがとうございました！
小説を自動読上げで聞くのに、アンドロイドの「小説を聞こう」が便利なので windows11で同様なアプリを探したが日本語対応の良いものがないようでした。 アクセシビリティの読み上げは長文を読ませるには全く向いておらず、 短文での発音もおかしいので諦め。 次にアンドロイドエミュレータGlueStacksでwindows でも小説を聞こうを使おうとしましたが、 google標準のTTSエンジンが作動せず、動いたのは他の有料TTSエンジンだけ。 550-780円かけて無料のグーグルと大差ないようなので不採用。 クロムの機能拡張ならあるか？とTTSを検索してこれを見つけました。 TTSエンジン自体はwindows のものでアクセシビリティの読み上げと同じだが、 この機能拡張から使用した方が区切りや句読点処理がまともに聞こえるようです。 設定から辞書指定ができて、標準のままでWINの読み上げより賢い「読み」をします。 WEB小説で次話にページを進める機能などは無いので、WEB小説特化した、あるいは サイトの構成に対応する便利機能がつけば ★5
update2 09/13/24 On the new version 2.0.6, there is a definite conflict between the Edge browser Read Aloud and TapSpeech. I can use only one of them, although I can start TabSpeech using the TabSpeech menu in the context menu (speech only the selection), After using TabSpeech, Edge Read Aloud stops working. On Chrome (thus with no Edge Read Aloud issue), after disabling all my extensions, I still have the similar problem. I cannot start TabSpeech in the usual way (click the TabSpeech ICON in the address bar and then Start button). But context menu (speech only the selection) works ok. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- update Sept-05-24 It does not work anymore in Chrome and Edge browser. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, Thank you for this great extension. I have two requests. 1. Please make "Enable force scroll to speech sentence" option less aggressive. ie, please do NOT force-scroll too often. Please take a look at Read Aloud of MS Edge browser. 2. Please put a brief pause at the end of line breaks and carriage returns as if there is a period character so the two words in two different lines are not read as if connected. とても使いやすいです。 読み上げたい場所をクリック → 設定したショートカットを押す（マウスの設定も組み合わせると快適）→ 読み上げ開始（強制スクロール設定もあり） 他の拡張機能と違い日本人が作っているのも大きい。 日本語の読み上げならこれが１番。
Flaky and buggy.
結構いい感じ。漢字の読み間違えなどがある程度あるけど、そこはご愛敬かな。長い記事を読むと目が疲れるから結構使うかも。 あと、始めは全く読んでくれず困った。サポート内容を見ても「開始」や「中断」のダウンリストが表示されない対応は記載がなかった。色々試したら解決。読みたいページで再度読み込みをすれば表示されました。
以前はちゃんと読み上げが出来ていましたが、ある時から突然読み上げしなくなりました。 拡張子を入れ直したり、Chromeをアンシンストールして入れ直したりしましたが、全く機能しません。 PCの設定の問題でしょうか？
