Agree that its big downside is it doesn't offer anything free for students, (like other note-taking extensions) but they mentioned in the welcome email that they want to push slid further to make it a great platform for studying, maybe providig classes, courses and resources for student, and I feel it's true, they got a desktop app, a smartphone app, and the features are handy and it's all well made, I use it on youtube and I think the space above and below the video are a wast and they can add it to the note taking space, maybe with more features why not :)
No doubt the best note taking app ever!!! But four stars for not being free after 14 days! :((((
This is the best app for learners I have ever used, it has alot of features like One click screenshot, Description adding, Screenshot editing, smart text capturing etc. I am learning programming by using slid, it saves my alot of time. Thanks and Cheers for creating such App. :)

After a year of using Slid - the product rating goes from ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to ⭐⭐⭐ While Slid streamlines knowledge capture from videos with AI transcription and note-taking, it falls short as a comprehensive learning tool. Here’s why: 💸 Overpriced for the limited functionality provided - albeit the team will work with students for a custom discount. 📝 Great for quickly collecting notes from videos ❌ Lacks effective review, recall, and quiz features (no flashcards or spaced repetition) 🧠 Not ideal for users wanting to genuinely digest and integrate knowledge Once the novelty of using an AI companion for your video courses wears off, Slid’s current offerings will leave you feeling disappointed in the ways it won't help you achieve active and holistic learning.
혹시 zoom 회의(강의)의 경우에도 줌 회의 주소를 복사해서 slid 홈페이지에 붙여넣어 시청하면 동영상을 보는것처럼 이용가능한가요?
Really a very good youtube notes taking app i have ever seen till now, the autotyping feature is the one i liked the most. Overall this is very efficient software.
The app is ok, but the customer service bites. That is going to be the problem with AI and the capitalism conundrum
