Introducing, the Shorts Blocker; a very simple Google Chrome extension that hides Youtube Shorts from everywhere; the home page, subscriptions page, and even the search results.

The entire project is open source, with no data collection, no ads, and no tracking.

the extension works perfectly, the only thing that i would add are options when you click in the extension icon so that maybe it doesn't block the shorts when you search or it shows the button at the sidebar, but generally it is a great extension, especially now when youtube decided that we can't even take off the shorts out of the main page for 30 days, only "show fewer shorts", which doesn't actually work

It doesnt seem to block the button for shorts on the sidebar which it used to do. At least it's still blocking the actual shorts from showing up in feed, but i'm concerned that if the shorts button is no longer being blocked, eventually the actual shorts might start leaking through..
