Title: Foxified: The Ultimate Extension Emulator for Chromium Browsers Review: I recently came across Foxified, an extension that allows users to emulate Firefox extensions in Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Opera, and others. I must say, it has truly been a game-changer for me. As an avid user of both Firefox and Chrome, I often found myself missing certain Firefox extensions while using Chrome. Foxified has bridged that gap and exceeded my expectations. One of the standout features of Foxified is its Emulation Sandbox. This innovative approach ensures that Firefox addons are served in a sandboxed unique origin. This not only provides a secure environment but also prevents conflicts with the browser's core functionality. It's refreshing to see an extension that takes user safety seriously. The inclusion of the WebExtension API is another commendable aspect of Foxified. By polyfilling most of the browser and Chrome APIs, including XHR and webextension API, Foxified enables a seamless experience for Firefox extensions in Chromium-based browsers. It's impressive to witness how well the extension bridges the gap between these different browser ecosystems. What sets Foxified apart is its commitment to user privacy and security. All permissions are optional and requested upon plugin installation. This extra layer of protection ensures that users have control over the access granted to extensions. The absence of analytics or data gathering by Foxified itself is reassuring, although it's worth noting that caution should still be exercised when installing guest extensions. While it's important to mention that not all Firefox extensions are supported or compatible with Foxified, the extension team acknowledges this limitation. They are actively working to add support for more stable APIs, showcasing their dedication to improving the compatibility of the extension. In conclusion, I can confidently say that Foxified is a superb extension that provides an incredible solution for users who want to enjoy Firefox extensions in Chromium-based browsers. Its emulation sandbox, WebExtension API support, and emphasis on user privacy make it a standout choice. If you're someone who values the best of both worlds, Foxified is a must-have extension that will enhance your browsing experience.

Even though chrome often has to be restarted to get the main extension I believe this is used for to function, and even then it refuses to handle 1080p, it has been a great extension until recently. The extensions new mini video player displayed when scrolling is so bugged I have to disable the extension due to how frequently the glitch occurs. It keeps creating multiple redundant miniature windows which often cannot be closed. Even when it's only one lingering mini video player the miniature window lingers on the tab even after leaving the page. I see no way of specifically disabling this feature in Foxified options. The glitch looks like this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F6cQy4NTOoKY2jDozzqRzfVMbHq6UYMC/view?usp=sharing Oh and another related recent glitch seen in the following link. Even if we get rid of the extra miniature windows, this can happen to the list of videos in the sidebar when the video is in full screen https://drive.google.com/file/d/12CGUpwgU1EkxA86cQ1qafmSv9C8n1wTZ/view?usp=sharing Those channel names aren't an intended part of the video, those faint white channel names in the screenshot with check marks next to them are clickable links to the channels of the videos normally shown on the side below YouTube videos. This is a glitch caused by that extension which only shows up as this extension. PS: And yet another new glitch is found. This one causes the track bar preview frame to be hidden behind the actual video e.g. https://drive.google.com/file/d/17raD_fxxcWxwZ39DIehKBULM5aqke0Sc/view?usp=sharing The ability to pause YouTube videos by clicking the active video section of a video fails during this time but I can still pause and start the video by clicking the dark section on either side of the video outside of the actual video / the darkness that surrounds the track bar preview image in the example I gave, that section still starts and stops the video by click but not the actual played video part of the screen.
