I love that this extension focuses on legal and ethical access to research. Instead of relying on questionable websites, I can trust that the papers I’m accessing are legitimately shared by authors or institutions. It feels good to support a tool that respects copyright while still prioritizing access to knowledge.
I appreciate how lightweight and straightforward this extension is. There’s no clutter, no confusing setup, and no unnecessary features. When I hit a paywall, I click the button and often get instant access to the paper. It works across many major publishers and has become a permanent part of my research workflow.

As a student, I constantly run into paywalls when searching for journal articles, and this tool has been a lifesaver. With just one click, it often finds a free, legal version of the paper from an open repository. Even when it doesn’t immediately find a PDF, it gives helpful options to request the article. It saves me a ton of time and frustration compared to manually searching Google Scholar or multiple databases.
I was a little hesitant at first, but the Open Access Button has completely exceeded my expectations. The interface is clean, simple, and incredibly user-friendly. You don’t need to be tech-savvy to use it – I just click the button whenever I encounter a paywall, and the extension does the rest.
