The ability to directly view reference by clicking the inline citation number is an absolute game-changer! I just want 1 more feature. The 2-page view. That's the only thing that's missing for me.

Cannot seem to peacefully coexist with other essential PDF reader extensions such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (without disabling its competition).

I was initially thrilled at the idea of such an extension. Have installed and restarted and changed the settings. Unfortunately have been unable to load the PDFs when reviewing. As a reviewer one of the main actions I need to do is cross reference. The app is unable to load openreview ACL style anonymous papers. Would love to have this feature present in the app.

Scholar Reader is a game-changer for researchers like myself who rely heavily on academic papers for their work. The extension seamlessly integrates into Chrome, transforming the reading experience for PDFs across all websites. One of the standout features of Scholar Reader is its ability to preview references directly within the text. This saves me valuable time and effort, as I no longer need to search for cited works manually. Additionally, the extension's table of contents scanning feature allows me to navigate complex papers with ease, enabling me to jump straight to the sections I need. The inclusion of in-text figure previews is incredibly useful for visual learners like myself. Being able to view figures instantly and then seamlessly return to the text streamlines my research process and enhances my understanding of complex concepts. Furthermore, Scholar Reader simplifies the citation process by allowing me to copy and paste common citation formats directly from the paper. This feature saves me from having to switch between tabs or applications, allowing me to focus more on my research. Overall, Scholar Reader has become an indispensable tool in my research toolkit. Its intuitive features and seamless integration with Chrome have significantly improved my productivity and efficiency when working with academic papers. I highly recommend it to fellow researchers looking to streamline their workflow and enhance their reading experience. Looking for the regular and time saving updates as it's from Google the expectations are little high! :)

This is surely going to be a useful tool for researchers in future. However, at this point it is in a very preliminary stage. As mentioned by others, the highlight feature is a must and needs to be introduced. Besides, there should be more background colour options. I find it difficult to read in both black and white background and prefer a grey background with black font colour. In that way the contrast between the background colour and the font colour isn't too much and it doesn't hurt my eyes.

Great that it has easy citation links but, to convince me to switch, I would have needed highlighting capability, note taking, and integration with Zotero or Mendelay. I guess it's early days and that these features may be in the pipeline.
