Users who frequently join Google Meet calls risk accidentally being unmuted or having their camera on. This extension removes that risk by defaulting mic/cam to disabled on every meeting join.

1. User installs extension and optionally configures settings via popup (toggle auto-disable mic and/or cam). 2. User navigates to a Google Meet meeting URL. 3. The content script runs at document_start, detects the pre-meeting lobby, and automatically clicks the mic/cam buttons to disable them if the user's settings require it. 4. Emojis are prepended to the tab title to visually indicate mute status. 5. Settings are persisted in chrome.storage.sync and synced across devices.

Target users: Google Meet users who prefer to join meetings muted by default / Remote workers and students who frequently join video calls / Privacy-conscious users who want camera off by default

The extension is very small (6 source files, ~21 KB) with a simple, transparent codebase. All decisions are fully supported by source evidence with no ambiguity.
