Worked well in the past but lately every time I actually need it (which is in emergencies), I find that the setting was changed automatically to delete everything on close instead of 7 days, which makes it not only useless but furiously annoying!! I just keep changing the settings and see how it reverts during emergencies. happened 3 times already. luckily I have other addons to as backup

At first I thought it didn't work, but it does...Kind of. You have to set it up on an Incognito tab. So once you've enabled it to run in incognito, open a incognito window and set it up to save for a specific amount of days. Apparently it doesn't work on normal windows or something

Works well. Would still like to see a better layout, perhaps a larger visual view of the history or a search bar. If i scroll to an address a few days back it would be helpful to at least see a preview before clicking on the address since once it is clicked, it exits out of the extension.

It's been working well, but I'd really appreciate the option to change the shortcut (Cntrl+I) that they introduced in the new update. Since I don't seem to be able to as far as I could see, I guess I just gotta' turn it on and off when I need it for the time being. Really makes it a little annoying when I'm trying to use Italics on Google Docs.

I don't get it. I've enabled it for the incognito mode too, but I don't know where to get the history items? Doesn't record anything in the chrome://history. So how do I see what's recorded? This must be in the guide on the first page!

IMPORTANT: After install, you need to switch the extension on for it to work. It will not work unless you switch it on! Go to: chrome://extensions/ Look for 'Off The Record History' Click on 'Details' Slide the 'Allow in Incognito' to 'on'. Now it works.... REVIEW: "Track your browsing history in incognito mode. Self-destructs history on browser close." In incognito mode, you cannot see the history of the websites you visited WHILE in incognito mode. This extension provides you with a way to see which websites you visited since you last opened an incognito tab or window. HOWEVER!!! When you close the incognito tab/window, it trashes the history it recorded within the session, acting like a true incognito browser. TO BE CLEAR: In a normal incognito browser, no history is recorded at all, and when you close the window or tab, it's lost forever. With this extension installed, you will be able to see the websites you visited since you opened the incognito tab or window. However, when the tab or window is eventually shut, all history is lost forever. This extension just records your browsing history for the 'life' of the incognito window or tab. So, you want a way to record your history that's not lost at the end? Errr, just use a standard internet browser...

PL: Chciałbym zwrócić się do pozostałych komentujących. Ludzie, narzekacie, że historia jest czyszczona po zamknięciu przeglądarki. Zanim zainstalujecie rozszerzenie, przeczytajcie jego opis, żeby dowiedzieć się, do czego służy i jak dokładnie działa. W opisie wyraźnie jest napisane, że historia jest czyszczona po zamknięciu przeglądarki. To rozszerzenie rozwiązuje problem przypadkowego zamknięcia karty w trybie incognito. To rozszerzenie działa dokładnie tak, jak powinno. Czasami długo ładuje się podgląd historii, ale wystarczy chwilę poczekać. EN: It does its job well, however sometimes it takes a while to see history. People give 1 star, because they haven't read description and expect this extension to save history after browser close.
