Ever needed to quickly switch between user-agent strings on the fly? Developing a site that needs to work on both mobile browsers and desktop browsers? Sick of some archaic site blocking you because you're not using Netscape 4?
The User-Agent Switcher for Chrome is the answer. With this extension, you can quickly and easily switch between user-agent strings. Also, you can set up specific URLs that you want to spoof every time.
Please note that this does not provide improved privacy while browsing the Internet and that some sites might have other means to figure out that the browser is not what it pretends to be. Running this extension can have performance impact on your browsing experience due to its need to intercept and modify the data communicated to the server.
NOTE: if some sites have problems after using a mobile user-agent, and won't switch back no matter what you spoof, you will need to switch the user-agent back to Chrome *and* clear your cookies for the sites to treat the browser normally again.

Help! Stuck on mobile on google!
the "Permanent Spoof List" is not working. :(
for the most part works great however some major bugs. sometimes, it stops pages from loading. I know this because in the status bar it says waiting for user-agent-switcher. Also. it can sometimes prevent gmail from loading. I have no idea why it happens, but disabling user-agent switcher helps me access gmail again. The default string i use is windows, firefox 10

This is a great way to remove flash and have it supported by html5 video. Just set the user-agent to "iPad". But I really would like to have the option to whitelist sites to totally disable any spoofing! Currently doesn't work for me.
Ever since I used the iPhone user agent and went back to default, all of my Google search pages show a really stretched iPhone interface.
Roughly seems to work, but gives this error under chrome://settings/extensions : This extension failed to modify a network request because the modification conflicted with another extension.
great work, now i am using it to browser gmail with my win8 tablet. If it can use pull down option to quickly add present page to permanent spoof list, that will be great. For example, in proxy switch extension, there is a new rule button to add url, that is very cool.
Excellent extension and even better support from dev. 1.0.11 broke my ability to use Chrome with Oracle Apps. Sent the dev an email and 24 hours later had the fix.
Works great! (better than the other one I tried) Very simple and intuitive interface.
