Ever needed to quickly switch between user-agent strings on the fly? Developing a site that needs to work on both mobile browsers and desktop browsers? Sick of some archaic site blocking you because you're not using Netscape 4?
The User-Agent Switcher for Chrome is the answer. With this extension, you can quickly and easily switch between user-agent strings. Also, you can set up specific URLs that you want to spoof every time.
Please note that this does not provide improved privacy while browsing the Internet and that some sites might have other means to figure out that the browser is not what it pretends to be. Running this extension can have performance impact on your browsing experience due to its need to intercept and modify the data communicated to the server.
NOTE: if some sites have problems after using a mobile user-agent, and won't switch back no matter what you spoof, you will need to switch the user-agent back to Chrome *and* clear your cookies for the sites to treat the browser normally again.

not working
As another user less helpfully explained, you can spoof edge on it with very little effort. You must simply right click on the extension, click options, under new user agent name put "Edge" or whatever you want to name your new user agent, under new user agent string put "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/113.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 Edg/112.0.1722.71" or whatever valid string you'd like the user agent to be, put it in a group I decided to create a new group named "Edge" though you may place it in any group, under append? put replace, and finally tag it with what you would like so you know what browser you're spoofing (mine is EDG).
Меняет user-agent, но не меняет операционную систему, раньше работало корректно.
Works like a charm. The only idiots who are complaining are the ones who do not know how to update the useragents themselves.
It's too old. UPDATE THIS!! Doesn't even have EDGE Browser available
Its not working on Google Scholar. Need the mobile view of google scholar search hits pages and mobile view of each individual abstract page of those search hits. Kindly look into this. Its one of the most frequent use cases for academics.
Gets the job almost done, i cant seems to chose my own permanent agent spoof option...it would get 5 stars if i could..please update this a little, im so happy to spoof the Edge browser string in Chrome.
No OS options for Chrome. navigator.userAgent still returns the real agent. Doesn't help for testing.
An helpful extension for developers and SEO's. There's only one problem with this extension. The user agents are outdated. I've rectified that issue by adding all new user agents including the new bing and chatGPT. Refer this post to learn how to update this extension with latest user agents. this is actually horrible, i was having captcha issues so i tried this but the user agents are too old and the captcha refuses to load now at all
