Ever needed to quickly switch between user-agent strings on the fly? Developing a site that needs to work on both mobile browsers and desktop browsers? Sick of some archaic site blocking you because you're not using Netscape 4?
The User-Agent Switcher for Chrome is the answer. With this extension, you can quickly and easily switch between user-agent strings. Also, you can set up specific URLs that you want to spoof every time.
Please note that this does not provide improved privacy while browsing the Internet and that some sites might have other means to figure out that the browser is not what it pretends to be. Running this extension can have performance impact on your browsing experience due to its need to intercept and modify the data communicated to the server.
NOTE: if some sites have problems after using a mobile user-agent, and won't switch back no matter what you spoof, you will need to switch the user-agent back to Chrome *and* clear your cookies for the sites to treat the browser normally again.

Works well for me. I use it on occasion when I run into a site that does not like Chrome for some reason (yes, they are still out there) and switching to FFW (Firefox for Windows) gets rid of that roadblock 99% of the time. Great tool to have in the toolbox - saves me from having to get on a Windows machine when I'd rather just live on my Chromebook.
Doesn't appear to work, and gives too little feedback to troubleshoot. I'm trying to use a web site that won't work with Chromium browser, so I select Chrome>Default in this extension, and my site still gives me the unsupported browser error. But the extension gives no indication if my settings are still active, what user agent is active on the current site, etc. Nowhere that I can see to make settings permanent on a page or domain, or any other useful features. All you get is a selection menu that doesn't do what it's supposed to, as far as I can tell.
Könnte ein Update gebrauchen, da es grundsätzlich ein nützliches Tool ist.
No option for custom useragent as well as no regard to bots.

Stopped working recently.
Works, but hopelessly few user agents.. Only Firefox 33, no IE11, etc.. Should be updated or removed entirely
