Ever needed to quickly switch between user-agent strings on the fly? Developing a site that needs to work on both mobile browsers and desktop browsers? Sick of some archaic site blocking you because you're not using Netscape 4?
The User-Agent Switcher for Chrome is the answer. With this extension, you can quickly and easily switch between user-agent strings. Also, you can set up specific URLs that you want to spoof every time.
Please note that this does not provide improved privacy while browsing the Internet and that some sites might have other means to figure out that the browser is not what it pretends to be. Running this extension can have performance impact on your browsing experience due to its need to intercept and modify the data communicated to the server.
NOTE: if some sites have problems after using a mobile user-agent, and won't switch back no matter what you spoof, you will need to switch the user-agent back to Chrome *and* clear your cookies for the sites to treat the browser normally again.

I love the functionality, but adding a permanent spoof mask like "220.44.*" made Chrome grind to a halt. Definitely needs work.

Edit: Priyanka, thank you for your response. Yes, I have to use it constantly on a few work pages. If I access them, I have to spoof them to get everything to work correctly. I'm hoping that goes away in the future since we have a couple very important customers who are now required by corporate edict to only use Google Chrome. This is a fantastic tool, however lately it's causing Chrome to lag. Sometimes so much I have to kill chrome completely. If I could just kill the extension itself, I would, but that would defeat the purpose of having an extension--enhancing the use of this browser. I didn't know this until a couple days ago, an error came up that specifically said, "Waiting for User-Agent Switcher".
Only but a few user-agents defined from the start, would benefit from adding more. Interface ok but arrow buttons not clickable, only text label.
There is an issue with adding "Mac OS" agent it simply get identified as windows 10... Please fix it
Each HTTP request gets delayed by some 5 seconds while Chrome says "Waiting on User-Agent Switcher". Makes browsing impossible.
