Motrix needs to be running in the background for this extension to work. This extension cannot launch Motrix automatically if it is not already running, due to API limitations. You can download the motrix download manager from here: https://motrix.app/

Logo downloading is not show when using lighth theme (white downloading logo)
It work, but very bad. You supposed to copy link of file you want to download then using app you paste that link in URL.
Usually I don't write reviews. But, thanks for this plugin. It works absolutely fine with the Motrix downloader (https://motrix.app/) after a simple change in settings. I would like to suggest to the developer to modify the instruction (https://github.com/gautamkrishnar/motrix-webextension#how-to-use) and include the screenshots of the final step. I was searching for a IDM alternative (free and easy) for some time. I was watching a list of free downloaders on YouTube. Initially, I tried JDownloader. But unluckily, it was not installing. Then I tried Motrix. I thought that since IDM has plugins on each browser, so probably browser plugin is essential for auto downloading. I searched Motrix on chrome plugin store and came to this.
У меня заработало, только перестаёт работать если разрешить работу расширения в режиме инкогнито. Устанавливал следующим образом: (1) скачал и установил motrix через setup, именно через setup (2) установил RPC secret в настройках motrix (3) скачал расширение для браузера и установил тот же самый secret для RPC как и для самого приложения.
You have to read install instructions. Took me a min to see you have to cope and save the key. It works great and its free. Best software I've used and my downloads appear to be faster. I'll use this forever.

Worked perfectly fine Just follow the readme perfectly and don't forget to save the settings in motrix app. MacOS 15 Public Beta(by the way)
