WorkMode is a Google Chrome Extension that, when turned on, auto-blocks ALL social media and custom URLs & keywords from even appearing.

To activate, simply click on the gray/white 'W' icon on the top-right of the Chrome browser. This will toggle the icon to 'red', meaning it's activated. You can edit which URLs are blocked by right clicking on the icon and selecting 'Options'.

Note: Currently, we do not store any personal information on any external system or database aside from the local browser LocalStorage from which the Chrome extension is used.

Easiest blocker to use! Works perfectly, you can also add any website you need!

Super helpful, helps me so much. It would be great if we could set a timer that doesn't allow us to turn off the block until the timer is up. For example, if I want to sit down and work for 4 hours, it would be great if I could set the extension to run without me able to turn it off for 4 hours straight. Just a suggestion, but as is it is very helpful!

If you're a "tab-rat" like me, it can be a bit annoying because it closes the tab that you try going to social media on. This means that if you have a certain website open (i.e. that you need for work) and go to fb via that tab...you can no longer get back the original tab unless you disable it. I saw a review saying that the functionality to modify which tabs it closes was added....but even after an update, I couldnt find the option anyway. Otherwise, seems to work fine

Idiotic extension. Instead of blocking the url, it closes also the tab or the whole browser if you have only one tab opened. TRASH.

Great tool and able to add custom websites - BBC sport is my kryptonite so it was great I could add it to the blocked list. One feature idea I think would be really useful - could you add a setting that stops you from switching work-mode off for a pre-specified time? Example, I could set a N min 'lock' that means once I set work-mode I can't switch it off again until the specified time has elapsed.

Best App to work with up to the point. Simply Great Go To Option > Add Website > Save !!! Boom its blocked .!!!

Excellent, simple extension. Does exactly what it says on the tin. One-click operation super helpful, avoids complication and temptation to game the system as in more complex extensions and apps (e.g. StayFocusd). Will appeal to those whose spirit is willing but flesh is weak.

Simple and helps me stay more productive. I have a bad habit of opening Facebook whenever I feel bored or tired. It's not even that I WANT to use Facebook, it's just that I somehow end up on it, scrolling through the feed and get extremely distracted. So having something that prevents me from using it is very helpful. It's also nice that you can add your own websites to block by right-clicking the icon and going to options. Thank you!
