This extension automatically tells Chrome that every tab you open is "not auto discardable". This might help solve issues where Chrome kills more tabs than you would want to, however, this is not foolproof, and tabs might still get discarded if your system is out of memory.
No configuration needed, the extension will mark every open tab as "not auto discardable" as long as you installed the extension and haven't disabled it.
Want to make sure this extension is working? Go to chrome://discards in a new tab and see how every row has a cross in the "auto discardable" column.

Still kills the tabs, even after I downloaded it. Hasn't worked yet... ONCE!!!
Not only does this extension do what it says, but it does it flawlessly. I've always hated it when Chrome kills my tabs, and I was sad when Google decided to remove the feature in chrome://flags. I got tired of having worked on something and lost my work due to Chrome killing the tab. With this extension, I didn't have to work at all. I installed it, and boom, it stopped my tabs from being discarded. Thanks World_Languages for another amazing extension! I highly recommend this extension to everyone.

I open a folder with several Google searches of "site:reddit.com *term*". Sometimes I can't read it all until later. But if I come back later, the old results disappear when the tabs refresh.

The earlier version did not seem to work, but the 7-5-19 update works well for me. There are no options. Just turn it on, and it works. No more auto refreshing! Edited a few days later to add: This really works! If you hate auto refreshing, this does the trick. Many thanks to the developer!
Some tabs just shouldn't be discarded, ever.
This extension is useful for Chrome not ruining your life. Chrome tends to kill your stupid tabs, this comes and saves the day.
