All user data—icon layouts, folders, and configurations—are stored locally within the browser or optionally uploaded to a private, user-configurable Cloudflare D1 + Worker setup for cross-device synchronization. For convenience and safety, pureTabs also supports manual backup and restore via one-click export/import of JSON files, so you can archive configurations or migrate setups effortlessly.
