This extension brings a PiP view to all websites with an HTML video element. The extension adds a page action button to your browser. When a page has a video element, the color of this button changes. Press the button to open the active player in the Picture-in-Picture mode (PiP Mode). This extension automatically tries to use the active player.
For YouTube, the extension also offers an in-player button next to the settings button to open the YouTube video in the picture-in-picture mode. You can use this extension to watch YouTube videos in a floating window that is on top of all other windows so tabs can be switched and still the player is visible. The floating window has play and pause buttons, and you can exit from the picture-in-picture mode anytime.
What is the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode: This mode lets you play any video in Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, and it works on all platforms. PiP is a popped-out, always-on-top video player that floats on top of other windows. You can also reposition it along the screen border while you continue to surf the internet.
Notes:
1. You need Chrome version >= 70 for this extension to work
2. This extension works for players in iframes

the instant pip button on YouTube is the Best and is exclusive over All PIP chrome extensions (I installed 5 picture in picture extension but they don't have;/ sad...), This extension develeper is genius and great.

Has been crashing Chrome for a day now. Worked fine before!
It's okay. It works as intended but I have one problem. I'm using a ChromeBook with this extension so this might only be a problem for this device. When in PiP mode, the video window only lets me play it at the bottom. I'm unable to move it to the top of my screen or anywhere else. And I'm only able to move it around if I set the video window to a certain size. And at the size it allows me to move it, It's way to big to see the work that I'm doing. It's annoying, to say the least.

Better than other PiP extensions, I dont want to flick my cursor on top of the screen just to click on the PiP extension like other ones. This one shows the button on the Youtube video frame, good for people who keeps forgetting about their PiP extension.
Just what I was looking for- a non google extension that doesn't collect a bunch of data. It works perfectly and in many ways beats the official firefox PiP feature by allowing things like volume adjustment during play. One thing I'd like is for it to go fullscreen when you double click it, but that's a minor thing.

works great to pop Youtube out whilst I continue browsing other things. Only has Play/Pause controls but is resizable and movable - gets the job done.
