How it works:
A mini script is injected exclusively on YouTube pages to manage the player's play/pause status based on the visibility of the document. When a YouTube tab is brought to the forefront, the player automatically resumes, akin to hitting the play button. Conversely, when the document becomes hidden, the player automatically pauses, simulating the effect of pressing the pause button.

Its too simple. Developer can you add customization option DO NOT play on focus tab too? And to add play or not on unfocused as tabs as windows too? That way I think many users say thank you! P.S. added it to browser Vivaldi and it DOES NOT work at all.

Ótima ideia, me incomodava muito isto de mais de um vídeo tocando ao mesmo tempo, ou quando ia passando por abas que estavam com o vídeo pausado e começavam a tocar todas, já testei algumas para desabilitar esse comportamento, mas essa extensão resolveu isso e ficou até melhor, só trocar a aba e já dá play
Everything I need. An enable/disable button. Auto resumes when looking at the page. Auto pauses when not looking at the page. Edit: Not working when I alt-tab. It worked the first time. Weird. Edit2: Alt-tab sometimes work...

I definitely liked this plugin, but I want to suggest an improvement, The problem is, when the video is finished, and I browse the comments, many times the comments make me switch to other tabs, and then when I return, the plugin plays the video from the beginning, and it removes the red check mark, that I have already watched this video, and may create confusion in the future whether I have already watched this video or not

It works and does exactly what it says! I'd use this now instead of other similar, because it have easy on/off switch on a button.
This Extension works like a charm. I especially love the fact that it pauses only when switching between tabs of the same Chrome window. I often type or work in a separate window and can still have a youtube video play in another. I would suggest an improvement. I personally like the auto-pause, I sometimes find the auto-resume to be bothersome. It would be useful to have an option to select which ones you choose to activate. That would make this Extension even better.
