Reader View extension brings Mozilla's open-source Readability implantation to Chromium. Using this extension you can strip clutters from webpages and read them on "Reader View" mode. The extension allows you to toggle between normal view and reader view by pressing the page-action button.
Note that reader view mode works best for web pages that have a lot of content. There are some tools in the left side panel that can help you personalize your Reader View. You can change color, background-color, font-size, font-family and width of the reader view.

폰트도 구글웹폰트 스타일 import시키면 내가 원하는 뷰어 완성 커스텀 스타일에 @import url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Gowun+Batang&display=swap'); 넣고 폰트 매니지먼트에 gowun-batang-regular: 'Gowun Batang' 넣어주고, 뷰어에서 폰트 선택해주면 아주 좋다.

Everything I was looking for and more. After trying out 2 others I almost lost hope. This made me write a review
I never really bother writing chrome extension reviews. But I would specially like to recommend this extension because they constant upgrade and improve this extension. Pages that previously did not work now work after 1-2yrs of using this. Shows the team is committed towards continuously improving this product.
How on earth do I change the theme / background color?
I love the extension! For those who want to customise their individual needs, options page have all answers you want. The project is also under developed on github!

With just a click, it transforms cluttered web pages into clean, distraction-free formats, making it much easier to focus on the content. The customization options are also appreciated, allowing me to adjust font sizes and styles to suit my preferences. However, while I thoroughly enjoy using Reader View, there are a few suggestions I'd like to offer for further improvement. One feature that I sorely miss is the ability to highlight text within the reader mode. Highlighting passages is a crucial aspect of my reading process, aiding in comprehension and allowing me to revisit key points later on. Integrating a highlighter tool into Reader View would elevate its functionality to new heights and make it even more indispensable. Moreover, it would be incredibly beneficial if the extension could offer the option to summarize and convert highlighted text into a downloadable PDF. Imagine being able to effortlessly distill the essence of an article or essay into a concise summary, complete with highlighted key points, and save it for future reference. This would not only streamline the note-taking process but also facilitate more efficient knowledge retention. In summary, Reader View is already a fantastic extension that greatly enhances the online reading experience. However, the addition of a highlighter tool and the ability to summarize and export highlighted text would make it a complete powerhouse for readers like myself. I eagerly anticipate any future updates that may incorporate these features, as they would undoubtedly transform Reader View into an essential companion for anyone who loves to read and learn online.

New review (2024) - BUG - TTS system seems to be broken. Voices jitters and cannot read properly as humans and voices do. Problem with all voices. Hey dev, loved the addon improved a lot but then bugs are still there. Right now, I'm talking about the bug of not reading the headline or title of the blog post. The TTS reading starts from the content not the heading. Please look into this. On firefox and librewolf browser, your addon struggles to work. Please also look into this. Older review (2023) - When I started using reader view addon few years ago, it was less buggy and worked flawlessly but now it is buggy and not working as it was intended. The reader view of the page is broken, takes only 50 percent of the text and rest is missing. In TTS mode, it doesn't read the title or bullet points or wherever points exists (for example take any page from site https://www.healthline.com/). Also when using TTS, the popup of the voice, speed and lang. doesn't open up or minimize properly. The lack of fonts out of the box from settings is disappointing. If dev is really updating this addon constantly, please check the problems both for chrome and firefox users. Usable but very problematic. No updates yet for the bugs and issues.
