I've tried out a lot of new tab pages, and I really have to say that NTP is the best so far. It's simple, but not plain and the notes/notification features are so incredibly helpful. 10/10 Recommend.
Only thing that I don't like is that it used Yahoo Search engine instead of google. I would like the option to change search engines. Otherwise, I love it.

Would like it to be more customizable. Still very good though.
After the new tab apps option disappeared (including the work around published on some sites) I tried a couple of apps that would either redirect or display your apps. This one is the best and the most visually striking. Of course, like every app, I would submit a wishlist of features, but the app works and does what it states it is going to do. It would be nice if it did not store recently closed tabs unless asked to do so. It stores them independently of the browser itself. Thus, even if you erase your browsing history in chrome, they still show up in this app.
Wish to add custom bookmarks.
