This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

good one. keep it up guys
Fricking awesome.
This is the best extension I've found for quickly toggling browser settings so I can actually read text and recognize elements on a page. Who decided light gray/light blue on white was a great idea? Kudos to the developers on a fine piece of software!
Better than others ! It's great !
this extension is Awesome! just what i needed, it has an easy menu to adjust settings also +1 for the icon i love it. developer has done an outstanding job
Все работает отлично
really great extension, site colors are maintained in a very "natural" way
Replaced with "Dark Mode" for most websites, in conjunction with "Darkness - Beautiful Dark Themes" for Facebook only (because no extension does FB so well, including picture galleries). I enjoyed using this in conjunction with another extension that only does FB and google, until I discovered that when I'm shopping online (where color selection and product appearance is sometimes very important), Dark Reader does not display the colors correctly on some sites like Amazon. Toggling it on and off constantly, just to see the colors correctly started to become annoying and hard on the eyes. I am uninstalling, after having tested "Dark Mode" which has no problem with rendering colors correctly. (btw, I made sure to set the sliders to the middle (no effect) for contrast b&w sepia). I had registered a support post, but no reply. While it's a nice extension, and one of the better ones, it's not the best one.
Awesome, my head stoped to hurt momentaly after I installed it and used... Why on earth site designer are so ignorant to use other background color than white I can't understand!
This one plugin is almost enough to make me switch to Chrome as my main browser. It certainly has for my work pages. Solutions to eye-strain like Flux are great, but every site looks much more sexy in the Dark. I only turn it off for sites like Wikipedia where I have a Stylish theme that I prefer.
