This eye-care extension enables night mode by creating dark themes for websites on the fly. Dark Reader inverts bright colours to make web pages high contrast and easier to read.
Adjust brightness, contrast, the sepia filter, font preferences. Enable dark mode on every web page or give websites a sepia tone. Enable or disable Dark Reader for specific websites, automatically sync with system dark mode, or detect already dark websites and leave them unchanged.
This is the original Dark Reader extension. Since 2014, we continuously evolve alongside modern web technologies to deliver fast and reliable dark mode support for people sensitive to bright light.

IMMEDIATE UNINSTALL!!!! Upon install it opens a page requiring you to pay $9.99 to use. description says NOTHING about a pay wall. Absolute scam trash.
A melhor extensão de todas. Já testei varias, mas essa é a que mais é compatível com a grande maioria dos site. Super recomendo. Mereceu 5 estrelas...

It's a must-have; it's like how you just NEED an adblocker extension on your browser, albeit slightly less necessary. I have donated a few bucks to their cause as well since they keep it TOTALLY. FREE! That being said, it does seem to have some issues with some websites but customizing the filters per site is helpful. It's just a little tedious and time-consuming but no big deal for me. I actually use it on Firefox more often and Chrome is forced upon me for some tasks and apps, and it works great over there too. It seems like it caches a lot over time as some reviewers have stated. I don't use Chrome enough to test this for myself, but I don't doubt the reviews about slow loading times. I hope there's a way to clear all the junk in Chrome's memory or whatever (idk how the internet works, man!) without losing all your site settings or uninstalling/reinstalling the app!
způsoboval mi zasekávání youtube po sjetí myši do komentářů se začali načítat komentáře a videa a zasekal se mi díky tomu youtube jinak to funguje všude jak má.
Like "Hake S" I also have to fully uninstall & reinstall the Dark Reader extension every few weeks because it eventually slows down Chrome page loading & causes UI lagging / stutters, like during tab dragging on a high-end PC. Once it's reinstalled, page loading snaps back instantly. No idea why. Doesn't happen on every Chrome install. Would be great to know why...
I learned I have to fully uninstall & reinstall the Dark Reader extension every few weeks because DR eventually slows down Chrome page loading & causes Chrome UI lagging / stutters, like during tab dragging (on a top-end PC). Once it's reinstalled, page loading snaps back instantly. No idea why. Doesn't happen on every Chrome install.
