This extension will make ChatGPT your default search engine in Chrome. Once ChatGPT has been set as your default search engine, you can search directly via your browser URL bar.

ChatGPT You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more. Chats also now include links to sources, such as news articles and blog posts, giving you a way to learn more.

In order to redirect a query to Google search, type "!g [your query]" (e.g. !g foobar) directly in your browser URL bar.

For some reason now it just makes a new chat gpt chat instead of the way it was previously working, using chatgpt.com/search. This new change is not pleasant and ruins the experience.

3 stars because it's great, but the problem is that it makes a new chat everytime you search. This extension should have a toggle for "Always use search using Temporary Chat". Then it would get 5 stars.

Useless, it just redirects you to the website. What if you run out of chats? What if you need to get an actual list of results? I use chatGPT when I need a quick source, I use google if I need actual data and know what I am searching for. A chatGPT search engine in it of itself would be a revolution. This extension sucks, and websearching should be an automatic system in chatGPT for when its best to search the web. I do like that I don't need to ask it to search the web every time now on chatGPT itself, but this extension is just pointless.
