PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK TO HOW IT WAS BEFORE THE UPDATE. No point of having an extension if it opens in another tab.
This is a rubbish update. Doesn't work perfectly. Very disgusting. The previous one was better.
The new update makes this plug-in totally useless. Only records the screen in low resolution, opens a new tab, and isn't actually part of the browser anymore. Restore the prior version, please, or I will uninstall and close my Vimeo account.
What happened to the screen recorder option?
New update is a mess. Opens new tab and moves you to the website. Doesn't work very well. I do not recommend.
April 2025 Recording is still the worst! There is such a lag when you share screen and video yourself at the same time - literally the worst and such a waste of my time. Looking for an alternative solution. Around 3min 30sec is in this video gives you an example of what I mean https://vimeo.com/1072601306/41bb3d9595 Hate the update - used to be able to record whilst presenting with Canva in Meet - massive issues tonight as I couldn't use the camera/mic in two different tabs AND I couldn't share the screen with Meet, as I had to share it in Vimeo. Had to abort my recording whilst presenting live, and now have to re-do the presentation to record it. Please bring back the option to directly record an existing tab within chrome. Currently looking for another screen recorder option :( 11 Nov 24 update - I have managed to record and share screen in meet (not sure if this was changed Vimeo's end as really struggled to do this the first time - incredibly frustrated that there was no email to advise of update) - however the new set up doesn't work for me. It is too heavy on bandwidth and if I try to record the video, everything just lags - so I can now only record my presentation and audio. Looking for a different solution - annoyingly as it used to work so well.
Please bring the previous version of the chrome extension back - now then it opens in new tab it is a lot worse.
