Exactly what I was after because Youtube seems pretty awful at supporting chat properly. Works fine in Edge out of the box, too.

Doesn't work for me at all I have it installed on Google Chrome.
Works great so far. I have no idea how Youtube can think their chat implementation is anywhere near acceptable.
Really good extension. Before this, I had to watch in minimized if I wanted to interact with chat.
When using youtube's default view, half of the screen is taken up by empty margins on either side of the player. When using theatre mode, you can't even view chat. This extension makes up for youtube's UI shortcomings perfectly.
Neat for livestreams. Though I hope that in the future there will be a toggle button to turn the "Twitch" mode on and off, as I do not want that feature sometimes if I'm just watching a video which premiered with a live chat that is pretty irrelevant.
this has made YouTube live streams bearable thank you sooo much, echoing other peoples sentiment that it would be nice to have a hide chat option in theatre mode (full screen is not 100% the same as this would allow to navigate tabs etc.), also would love an option to move the chat left/right of the stream as well. either way as is its still great!
