Time Snatch allows you to block or limit the amount of time you spend on distracting websites.
You can limit the amount of time you can spend on distracting websites or outright block them. When navigating to a blocked website you will be redirected to a productive one of your choice or to our default inspiring web page that will throw motivating quotes at you.
Time Snatch is lightweight, reliable and secure. It gives you the flexibility to block and manage each website individually.
The "Read your browsing history" permission is needed to check whether the current website you are visiting matches any of the ones you have blocked. The extension never saves, sends or uses any of this information for other purposes. You can verify this by checking the open-source code at https://github.com/Thinkorswim/time-snatch.

amazing
I like it but I also wish I could pause the timer. For example, I use Youtube for fun and to study and obviously don't want to use up the set time if I'm just studying.
love it ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... ;)
This is a good extension that achieves its purpose well. It has a couple of issues that would be great to fix: 1. No ability to have a different schedule by day (e.g. on the weekend) 2. When the blocking page is shown, it disables the history/back button so you have to close the tab.
This is exactly what I was looking for! I've noticed stayfocusd becoming increasingly commercialized, so I was looking for a free extension that wouldn't sell my data or show me ads. This extension's beautiful quotes and global time budget were exactly what I was looking for.
Fairly simple to use. It provides both features I needed: site time limiter, and site blocker for certain time frame! I like the quotes too, good reminder they are.
love this, currently very annoyed with it though because it won't let me use websites in the redirect box--currently it only accepts the default motivational quote. when i try to add a website it just loads with a grey error screen"his site can’t be reached check if there is a typo in https" i love the redirect feature so it is pretty irritating
The "Global time budget" is a great idea, but is not executed well. There should be an option to add websites to the blocked websites list without setting a time allowance for them, and then when you use the websites on the blocked list, it will use the global time budget for the time allowance.
Of all the website blocking extensions, this is the best one. The only thing I wish is that it stopped counting down if you forget to close the tab on a blocked website. Sometimes I'll do that, and my time will run out for that website without me being active at my computer.
