This app is amazing!!!! Sorts my bookmarks by date added. I can't believe I went so long without it. NOTE: For my Windows 8 PC I had to UNcheck 'Folders First' AND 'Delay Sorting of New Bookmarks'.
Just works!
Installed it, but nothing happened. Restarted the browser a few times. Restarted the computer a couple of times. Gave this item 20 minutes to sort through a handful of bookmarks. Nothing happened. I ended up having to do it all manually, which I was wanting to avoid on another machine by testing this on something with less stuff to deal with. Fail. Uninstalling.
Alphabetical sorting just makes sense. This extension effortlessly brings order to chaos.

Seems to do the job, just check the options you need.
Wanted to sort by folder, says it does, but it doesn't, even rebooted chrome, saved several times, checked/unchecked sort by folder..nada. Update:I came back to rate it 3 stars after I did notice, my subfolders of the bookmark bars main-folders were sorted. That's when I saw your suggestion,so now I have bookmarks bar checked(options left blank) and sort folders checked. I see I was in error in understanding the bookmark bar and sub-folders of folders, confusing. Adding to my confusion is the lack of sort folders under bookmarks bar options...I should have played around with it more to learn the options before giving up from my annoyance that it didn't sort my bookmarks bar/folders right away. I see now it would have been redundant to have sort by folders as an option under sort bookmarks bar AND the separate sort by folders! All my mistake. So convenient now, thank you for your time in developing this great extension!! Works like a charm, saves me tons of time and hassle!
Very useful. If this extension were able to sync your settings via Chrome, it'd be essentially perfect.
This is great. I was able to sort my bookmarks and then import them into Bookmark OS which allows sorting as well https://bookmarkos.com
Simple, unobtrusive. Works silently. Wish all extensions were like this one.
