This means, for example - if your computer can handle 1080p videos at 30 FPS, but not at 60 FPS - you can automatically set 60 FPS videos to play at 720p!

I haven't toyed with it much yet, but I wanted to point out the request for donations for paypal make the comment text box unavailable on YouTube shorts. I had to close it to be able to comment.
There seems to be an issue where it will go a quality higher if your selected one doesn't exist on a video. For example, I chose 480p, mainly because its the highest i can go without the video being 60 fps, but got 720p on a video that doesnt have 480p as an option. Some videos only have 144, 360, 720, and above. I would much prefer if it either went a quality lower instead or if there was an option for this.

Worked fine for a long time then suddenly, despite been fixed at 360p it still randomly allows 1080p playback

Seems to work well. Regarding: "Additionally, the extension lets you choose the quality of embedded videos, which are videos outside of YouTube.com." - I don't see a choice, so I guess this is hopefully an automatic feature.
