🌄 Theme background
When Clear New Tab is installed and "Theme background" mode is selected, the backgrounds of themes you install from the Chrome Web Store will automatically download and appear in the new tab. If the theme background appears too large or small, you can fix it by setting "Background size" to "Cover the screen."

Perfect. Let's you change what color gets flashed before the wallpaper shows up allowing for me to not get flash banged everytime I open a new tab. Also eliminates the search bar in the center that no one uses so the wallpaper is untainted. Yes. Very good

I FINALLY FOUND AN EXSTENTION THAT IS CAPABLE OF CHANGING THE NEW-TAB WALLPAPER TO A SPECIFIC IMAGE EVERY HOUR. I finally found a real dynamic - a changing wallpaper according to the time of day like Apple used to have on their desktops.

I just wanted new tabs to open with my own image, this plugin did the job simply and directly. I loaded my image, set scaling to Fit to Browser Window, matched the outer background color to the background color of my image and done in a two minutes. Perfect!
