In my opinion, this browser extension (Avira Browser security) is a great addition to you anti-virus program. It gives you another opinion and an extra barrier against real-time exploits and drive-by downloads. There are many other options out there, but this is tried and tested.

The pop-up shopping comparison is dreadful. I am deleting this extension.
It may too sensitive. It blocked so many jpeg on forum.

I support some websites with ads and fair ads, and I use an additional ad blocker to whitelist certain sites. However ever since the new update adding an in-built ad-block, I've been unable to disable the ad block feature unless I also disable the blocking of trackers. I'd like an option to exclusively disable ads, rather than only have the limitation of enabling blocking trackers AND ads.
Latest version pauses netflix video to update it's counter. Bloody annoying.I'm running an asus c300ma.
Makes Google.com super slow, almost unusable. Everything else is fine, if not awesome.
Price comparison is useless, and covers your google search input box, when displayed. Impossible to disable the price comparison.
