It used to be useful, but now it became useless, not only because almost everything are behind a pay wall but also because it does not integrate with the ChatGPT UI but rather uses it's own sidebar and clatters the whole experience.

As a market researcher, staying organized is everything! Easy Folders has been the find of a year! It will let you create folders right on the side of ChatGPT, turning chaos into an orderly system. Edmund keeps things simple and doesn't try to do everything, it does what IT does GREAT! It doesn’t overwhelm you with too many features like another chrome extension which shall remain nameless, and it doesn't leave you wishing for more. It’s perfect! What really blew me away was the quick support from the developer, Edmund. I had a question, and he got back to me almost instantly. That kind of responsiveness is also the kind of thing that helps me put my trust in a tool when it comes to long term responsiveness and support. While the app shows promise, it is currently plagued by a major bug: It functions initially, such as when I launch Chrome and immediately access ChatGPT. However, if I switch to another application, perform tasks, and return, the extension freezes. What this means that if I click on a chat in a folder, the chat does not load anymore. In that case, I have to use the default Chat GPT list to find a chat, but then the folder system is pointless. Refreshing the ChatGPT page does not resolve the issue; I must quit Chrome and relaunch it to regain functionality. Also, I do not have Chrome's memory saver enabled, and I am using a new M2 Pro Mac Mini with 16GB of RAM. The only other extension I use on that profile is Adblock Plus. VERDICT - 5 stars for idea - 4 stars for design (I encounter display issues on the original ChatGPT column, such as being unable to see the "More" icon due to longer chat titles) - 1 star for freezing which makes it unusable (as of 6th May 2024).

I bought the lifetime subscription and was initially happy with it: for five straight minutes I could add chats to folders. But all of a sudden all I was left with were just the folders... no option to add any chats to them. I hope this can be fixed soon, because this is a very buggy start of what sounded to be a very promising way to declutter my ChatGPT chats. I would not mind paying the steep price, if it worked flawless. Now I feel hugely disappointed.

Nice idea, needs a lot of work on performance and scaling. Can't use it with my 5k conversations account, completely freezes screen even after restarting the browser. Also worth mentioning the huge amount of time it took to download the conversations for no reason, since I'm unable to search unless I pay.
