AudioPick allows to pick a preferred audio output device that is used when a chrome tab is playing HTML5 audio or video over HTTPS.
The extension finds HTML5 audio and video elements within the document tree and manipulates the "sinkId"` in order to switch to the preferred audio output device. Since version 0.3.8 it also finds Audio, Video and AudioContext objects that have not been inserted into the document tree, e. g. Spotify and SoundCloud should now work with the extension, too.
Since it's now possible to store/remember a preferred audio output device per domain, the extension's option panel and hence the option to set a global preferred device (for the browser) has been removed.
Note that the "Media Capture and Streams API" requires media (microphone) permissions to be granted to every site with audio sinks that need to be manipulated, which - as a result - allows those sites to access your microphone. Hence AudioPick only acquires permission when the user actually picks a non-default device for a site and restores permissions when the user reverts back to using the default. Since version 0.3.10 a "smartMicAccess" mode can be activated in the UI which further reduces the number of microphone permissions granted by the extension.

Often changes to default while changing YT song
Love this thing so much! I use it ALL the time! Especially when streaming. Is their anyway it can also be made for firefox? OR if their is one already made that would be awesome if someone could share it. Thank you!

I love it! Should've searched for this months ago instead of using Microsoft Edge as a separate browser for music. Seriously though Microsoft, how long have you had to develop a web browser that could compete??? HOW LONG AND YOU STILL SUCK!!!! I'm honestly embarrassed for anyone on the team that has been working on this for the last 2 decades. Sorry this turned in to a rant about Edge but c'mon.
the extension works great, wanted to use it so i could listen to Pandora while somebody else was watching Netflix, over all a good extension
Great extension - indispensable if you use Google Play Music.
There is already a general description for it given away in the Overview tab and on the more helpful review tabs. It is also very useful when using Virtual Cables like Voice Meeter and it's brother in Voice Meeter Banana. I use this product mostly for recording separate audio with OBS, So I can record, say, a streams audio and video while I do something else, such as, playing a game, or, watching another stream or video. However, I am not giving this five stars because I only give that to the best of the best, and also because, as discussed before, has a tendency to revert to default settings when a page is refreshed, and sometimes not at all. A more in depth explanation about that glitch, every time I go to change the device for an individual tab and fill the bubble of the device I want to use, upon returning to the device drop down I find that the device has not changed at all, despite having been filled in previously, and instead reverted to the default audio system bubble. Several refreshes fixed it to me, But others might have not been as lucky as me, as many of the recent reviews and complaints in the support section seemed to reveal. Overall, If the author manages to fix this overbearing problem, I might consider upping my rating, but it has been one of the most helpful tools so far for my experience at this point in time. Thank you Rain-Fighters for your generous extension, and I hope to see many great products of equal potential.
