Simply start the conversation mode. The extension will automatically manage turns between asking question and listening to the response once you've started the conversation mode. There are three conversation modes available:
1. Two-way conversation (Default) - You can ask question using voice and Gemini™ will respond with voice.
2. You talk & Gemini™ text response - You can ask question using voice and it will respond with text. Useful if you want to just read.
3. You type & Gemini™ voice response - You can ask question using typing and it will respond with voice. Useful if you want to listen on headphone and cannot speak out loud in quite place.
The extension enables voice-based questions in various languages like Chinese, Korean. For instance, speaking in Chinese or Korean generates the respective characters. not working for me i can't say or hear anything
Fantastic work on this extension, it's a game changer! I have a feature request: could you implement an "intelligent interruption" system? The idea would be to stop the TTS immediately when the user speaks and then automatically prepend a context marker to the next user prompt. For example: "The user interrupted while you were saying '[Last sentence fragment]' to say: [User's actual message]". This would help the model understand exactly what part of its response was missed or interrupted. Thanks for considering this!

Does as it says. Gemini Mobile has voice options and its baffling the PC version does not. However this App does good even though the looping can be annoying for short Gemini responses. There might be a settling for it, I just havent dug into it yet.
This works pretty well and pleased it exists, but I do have an issue. After verbally asking a question and getting a verbal response, I have to press the End Conversation button the press it again to carry on the chat unlike the continual 2 way chat demo in the video. Any ideas how to fix this? Many thanks.
not working. still responding to text. sometimes it does talk, actually just one time, then it stop totally responding. got some issues. maybe its not update for gemini, looks like it was still bard. Hopefully this one gets updated.
The concept is great, but having some issues that make it useless for me. First, it understands my commands, but it's response is only text based and two way communication is enabled, and I have verified the correct devices are default. When I click the Gemini speaker on the reply, then I can hear it but that isn't the extension and I would need to press that button for every reply. Second, after I give a command or query, it responds via text but my microphone turns off. It still says enabled but my microphone light goes out and is no longer listening. Tried this on three different browsers all with the same result.
can you add more input voices? or how to add?
Its a great way to interact with Bard, but I am encountering issues with it. It stops responding after the voice reaches a sentence stop or grammatical period mark.
