Free and unlimited password manager to keep your login credentials safe and manage them directly in your browser.

Get the password manager created by the former scientists who met at CERN behind Proton Mail, the world’s largest encrypted email provider. Proton Pass is open-source, end-to-end encrypted, and protected by Swiss privacy laws.

Pass offers more than other free password managers and has no ads or data collection. You can use it for free forever on all your devices to create and store unlimited passwords, autofill logins, generate 2FA codes, create email aliases, secure your notes, and more.

* Protect your logins and their metadata with battle-tested end-to-end encryption

While many other password managers only encrypt your password, Proton Pass uses end-to-end encryption on all your stored login details (including your username, the website address, and more).

* Audit Pass’s open-source code

This is a great password manager, but it does have a couple of issues that keep me from giving it a 5 star review. I have the same complaint that another reviewer has - there is no auto completion for credit cards. In fact, if I want to fill in a credit card, I must filter the items to CC only, then copy each field and paste to the form. Not a huge problem, but something that should be fixed. Also, I have a few websites that offer the username field without the password field, and Proton Pass doesn't autofill those either. I have to copy the user name and submit, then the password field can be auto filled by Proton. Otherwise, it is flexible, well-behaved and easy to use. I've also had a few issues with it on my Android phone where it wouldn't auto fill fields in apps and I have to copy and paste. I don't know if that is an app issue or Proton issue.

The extension provides the correct UX with an elegant UI, but it lacks features that requires 5-star : - Autocompletion for credit card is missing, it's painful to open the extension and copy each lines for the different inputs because the app doesn't recognize the credit card form like 1password does. - A dedicated shortcut to call the extension is also missing, like 1password does - It also misses the option to "open and fill" from a login, again, like 1password does. You are close, but 1password still does better than Proton Pass, please don't keep up and invest on reaching perfection.
