🌟 Meine Erfahrung mit Proton Pass – Sicher, schick und nach kurzer Eingewöhnung einfach top! 🌟 Ich nutze Proton Pass jetzt seit einigen Wochen als Chrome-Erweiterung – und ganz ehrlich: Anfangs war’s ein bisschen fummelig. Die Umstellung von meinem alten Passwortmanager war nicht ganz ohne. Man muss sich erstmal reinfuchsen, vor allem wenn man viele Passwörter hat oder mehrere Geräte synchronisieren möchte. Die Oberfläche wirkt im ersten Moment etwas „cleaner“ als andere Tools – was schön ist, aber auch bedeutet, dass manche Optionen nicht gleich ins Auge springen. Aber sobald man sich reingearbeitet hat: absolute Empfehlung! Was mir richtig gut gefällt: ✅ Endlich Zero-Knowledge-Verschlüsselung – Ich hab einfach ein besseres Gefühl, wenn meine sensiblen Daten nicht auf irgendeinem Server analysiert oder gescannt werden können. Proton macht das transparent und nachvollziehbar. ✅ Open Source & Privacy-first – Als jemand, der auf Datenschutz achtet, fühl ich mich hier definitiv besser aufgehoben als bei den großen, kommerziellen Anbietern. ✅ Schöne, aufgeräumte UI – Gerade in der Erweiterung wirkt alles durchdacht, ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack. ✅ Geräteübergreifende Synchronisation funktioniert einwandfrei – Ich nutze Proton Pass am PC, auf dem Smartphone (Android) und sogar auf dem iPad – und es läuft stabil und zuverlässig. ✅ Passkeys & 2FA-Integration – Ich bin positiv überrascht, dass hier gleich moderne Standards mitgedacht werden. Das zeigt, dass Proton nicht nur sicher, sondern auch zukunftsorientiert ist. Kritikpunkte? Nur kleine: 🔹 Anfangs war es etwas ungewohnt, neue Logins zu speichern oder bestehende zu aktualisieren – aber das ist eher eine Frage der Umstellung. 🔹 Ein paar Funktionen (z. B. Tags oder Ordner) könnten noch etwas intuitiver sein – aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau. 🔹 Die automatische Formularerkennung funktioniert meist super, manchmal aber etwas zickig bei komplexeren Seiten – wird aber regelmäßig besser. Fazit: Nach kurzer Eingewöhnung bin ich absolut zufrieden. Proton Pass wirkt durchdacht, sicher und hat genau die Features, die ich brauche – ohne aufgeblähte Extras. Für alle, die ihre Daten wirklich schützen und nicht einfach irgendeinem Anbieter blind vertrauen wollen, ist das hier genau das Richtige. Wenn man eh schon Proton Mail, VPN oder Drive nutzt: umso besser – alles lässt sich nahtlos verbinden. MacOS / iPhone / Android power user here. Simply the best password manager, the best VPN, the best privacy protecting suite, seamlessly backing up my devices fully encrypted with zero-access, the best multi-email alias management system, just simply the best. Swiss are better in these things, by far, people we can trust. Even if the UI/UX could be improved, their features are solid and they are enhancing the UI/UX on a regular basis and very fast. Just hop on the train and it will get more and more shiny by the day. But it's already the most secured, fastest strongest and most solid train there is. I have been using VPNs from different providers for more than 10 years. Over time all of them are experiencing more and more VPN blocks, blacklisted IPs servers, less and less convenience quality. For the first time, a new provider that I take, proton VPN, have given me access back to many sites that where locked with VPN for me. They work hard on their tech and they definitely make it right. I feel like my internet is free again. Don't ask yourself too many questions, Proton suite is unbeatable.

From a security perspective Proton Pass ticks a lot of boxes and appears to be up there with the best password managers. However the UI on the browser extension is woefully disappointing. For starters it's far too small with so much information "cut off" such as long website urls. Some managers such as Bitwarden allow you change the appearance e.g. default, wide, very wide, or be resizable, and this is so helpful. As the browser extension is the main point of use when using a browser then this is ill thought out. There is a option to open a pop up window which can be enlarged. However, the link to this is hidden away in the Navigation menu --> Advanced --> Open in a Window. That works ok but why is this hidden away ? It's clunky at best. Yes you can "search" for items but that becomes pointless when you can't see the whole of the url. Over time it becomes very frustrating. Sorry but it's no good having excellent security features if the UI interaction is below parr.
