Free and unlimited password manager to keep your login credentials safe and manage them directly in your browser.

Get the password manager created by the former scientists who met at CERN behind Proton Mail, the world’s largest encrypted email provider. Proton Pass is open-source, end-to-end encrypted, and protected by Swiss privacy laws.

Pass offers more than other free password managers and has no ads or data collection. You can use it for free forever on all your devices to create and store unlimited passwords, autofill logins, generate 2FA codes, create email aliases, secure your notes, and more.

* Protect your logins and their metadata with battle-tested end-to-end encryption

While many other password managers only encrypt your password, Proton Pass uses end-to-end encryption on all your stored login details (including your username, the website address, and more).

* Audit Pass’s open-source code

Works great and actually picks up on more inputs to fill than many competitors I've used in the past. One bit of feedback though: it would be great to add biometric unlocking like the native app has.

I'm not a power user by any means. I mainly use Proton Pass to generate passwords, create email aliases, and manage all my logins, and for that it does the job really well. I'm on a paid plan, so having unlimited aliases is a big deal for me since I can spin up a new one for basically any signup, and if you're also using Proton Mail, the extra storage you get as a paid perk is a nice bonus on top of everything else. The extension works the majority of the time without me having to think about it, and sure, there are occasional websites where it doesn't detect the login fields or doesn't pop up like it should, but that's pretty rare and not a dealbreaker. No major issues, no headaches. For $5 a month or less if you go annual, it's totally worth it and I plan on sticking with it.

Haven't really used password managers a lot, but you get what you'd expect from one.

The best one. Easy to use, autofill works, cheap due to being bundled with other services with Proton.

It comes with your email sub and does everything and more the stand alone paid ones do.

I tried installing the Windows extension. It was fine up until I managed to import my data from Bitwarden, but all the folders I had organized in Bitwarden were ignored, and everything was consolidated into a single vault. It said it was free with unlimited use, but it seems I have to pay for the premium service to do the same things I could do in Bitwarden. Bitwarden just stopped opening a moment ago, so I think I’ll keep this as a backup in case Bitwarden becomes unusable. Proton might be superior in terms of features, but I think Bitwarden is better in terms of service. Please make the features available for free—even with ads—that are currently only available in the paid version. Even if you decide to charge for it, I hate subscriptions, so please make it a one-time purchase. If I could pay 10,000 yen and use it forever, I might be willing to pay. Subscriptions are a never-ending pain. I couldn't append the information to the existing entry. I had no choice but to add it as a new entry, but this makes it way too cumbersome to use. Works great when it works, but often will randomly just stop working. When extension is clicked on, the window will just be blank. Have to turn the extension fully off and then back on for it to work again.
