This extension sets your search engine to Ecosia and customizes your new tab page so you can plant trees with every search.
I've used this extension for probably 3+ years, until today. It has a great concept: grin and bear a few unobtrusive advertisements to generate a small bit of revenue which is eventually donated to a charity of your choice. Well, the first thing that went was "unobtrusive". Malicious advertisements redirected my browser to spammy websites... video adverts would blare their sales pitch at deafening levels... I eventually had to get an adblocker. I should have uninstalled it then, but I didn't. I loved the UI so, so much. Now the last thing keeping me subscribed to Tab for a Cause has finally died. I used to be able to organize and customize my bookmarks. Now, they have been transformed into sterile gray boxes relegated to a laughably small scrolling task bar that takes up a quarter of the screen. Rest in peace, Tab for a Cause. It's been a good three years.
Very easy to use and fun to customize! However, I love to look up stuff like tracking numbers, which Google handles easily. This uses a search engine (Ecosia) that just doesn't do a lot of things Google does. Please allow the search engine to be changed.
Opening multiple tabs lets you send all your hearts multiple times, even if you have already sent them. You may want to patch that as i'm on -500,000 I love this idea!!! and want to invite all my friends ='D
What can I say? It is a free app that helps people. I use the internet too much anyway, and now, it isn't a complete waste of time. It's only about 1/3rd of a cent per tab, at best, but it adds up very quickly.
Excelente idea para ayudar, quedé enamorada.
Its great to know I can help.
A little slow to load (maybe it should show a bare-bones version of the new tab page before loading the ads, but that might reduce the money donated) but it works great, very refined, and it's for a good cause.
mega bardzo fajny pomysł oby się rozpowszechniło.
give me a reason to do research
A little slow to load, but other than that it's great!
