I've tried to keep my extensions to a minimum. AdBlock is on the top of the list, along with Minimalist. Do donate if you can manage it. I did. In terms of earlier posts: I've checked several of the complaints, mainly the CPU issue, and I don't have the problem. One suggestion to folks having problems with extensions having side effects. Disable ALL OF THEM. Reboot. Then check for problems. Then turn on the extensions you most need. That will give the authors of the extensions enough information to be getting on with. I just did this with an extension I'm trying (1Password) and it helped them immensely. You will help AdBlock get better if you help debug.
Everything works great and all what you need from the program is already in it. Happy ad-blocking! :D
Really does work!!
Works Great. I have not had a problem using this extension.
If I had to give up an extension this one would be the last to go. Love it.
Cracking extension, works great. You forget how effective it is at hiding adds after a while - The last time I used a friend's laptop to browse some familiar website, and was shocked by how different they look without AdBlock enabled - a real mess. Can't browse without AdBlock, it's essential. Only one gripe: there needs to be an easy way to enable it in incognito mode! Also, if you found the extension useful, do think about donating, even if it's just a few dollars. I was happy to give a little back, as AdBlock has given me a lot in return. Even the crappiest sites look like they have better design once AdBlock hides all the nonsense on the page.
The web is noticeably more annoying when I don't have the extension enabled. My only complaint would be that when I disable AdBlock on a particular site I wish it didn't still inject it's style information into the DOM.
It works!
很实用的插件。
It's works great. It doesn't slow down my computer at all. It blocks almost all ads. The only few minor problems I have with it is that in You Tube when you have full screen on, ads will pop up and you can't get rid of them. For example, try watching your favorite series on You Tube, full screen, and switch to the next show in the series. An ad will pop up and the only way to avoid it is by un-full screening and letting the page refresh then going back to full screen. I think that is the only problem I have. Other than that, I have no problems with Ad Block. :D
