The Save to Google Drive Chrome extension helps you save web content or browser screenshots to your Google Drive.
* Adds a browser action to save the current page.
* Adds a right-click context menu to save hyperlinks and media.
* Configurable through an options page.
This extension allow you to save web content directly to Google Drive through a browser action or context menu. You can save documents, images, and HTML5 audio and video all by right clicking and selecting 'Save to Google Drive'. You can save the currently viewed page using the 'Save to Google Drive' browser action. The directory location and format of saved HTML pages can be controlled with the extension's options page (Choice of Entire image (default), Visible image, Raw HTML, MHTML, or Google Doc). You can automatically convert Microsoft Office files or comma separated files to Google Docs format.
After your content is saved, the progress dialog allows you to open the file, rename, or view the file in the Google Drive document list. From the document list, you can organize and share your new document.

At first I thought this is the most unnecessary piece of software I have ever seen (saves a .png to google drive).. why would someone need to do that you would want to save an instance of the item you right-clicked to google drive like pdf. etc.. changing the format to "google document" saved the correct item. I think the main crux people have is with the decision to name the addon google drive, as this addon is called "google drive" you expect google drive functionality not the windows snipping tool so why would a glorified windows snipping tool be the default behaviour?. There is very bare-bone functionality. you should look at how items are saved on a desktop as a starting point, I should be able to choose where in the google drive structure to place the item. Or have the ability to do so. Having said that one needs to start somewhere and indeed you have, from this point I am confident improvements will be made in the future.

There should be an option to choose destination folder or "organize" each time I save something to drive. Right now there is only one default folder. Its nice that you can change the name of the file.
