It is rare that an app not only lives up to what it says it does, but exceeds expectations. Block Party is one of those rarities. It is pain-free usage, powerful, and locks down whatever social media settings you want it to. And in the event that an issue arises, the team is right on it. These are people dedicated to making excellent software, and it shows. I'd give it 6 out of 5 stars if I could.
Constant upsells for their premium plans, annoying nag popups
I installed the new Block Party app and -- wow -- I'm super impressed with this new release by the Blockparty team to clean up privacy settings on a number of sites (e.g., Twitter, Linkedin, and more). It's something I try to do and it's tedious... and Block Party's UX is one of the best I've seen in YEARS, truly. Feeling much better about my digital footprint now.
This app is very well designed and makes it easy to make privacy and security changes that are often well-hidden. It walks you through groups of changes on popular social media, and you watch the changes being made. You can pause and come back later to finish if you want. Each social media account that I cleaned up took only a few minutes. Highly recommended.
Risk scanning helped me identify where I've been auto-opted into sketchy AI settings across different platforms. The best part was that I didn't have to find the settings to fix them, Block Party's automations updated them for me.
Block Party made a major difference in the amount of notifications I was getting across the platforms I use (especially FB and LinkedIn). I was able to reduce the noise and limit alerts to what I actually care about. That coupled with removing connections in bulk made Facebook usable again.
This product is great. I had no idea how many settings were putting me at risk, especially on platforms like Strava and Venmo which I wouldn't usually consider problematic. It cleaned everything up in minutes. Highly recommend!
Seems useful and it is highly recommended. Unfortunately, the site/app has no support and isn't accepting credit cars for payment. with no one to contact how are issues resolved? How can you subscribe? My guess? Not ready for prime time.
