Truly amazing extension. Works wonders and is really fast! Reduces time of writing complex emails by about 80%!
I am amazed by the sheer power, speed, and accuracy of this add-on. It does exceptionally well what others fail to do, which is recognize terminology outside of common day language. For my purposes, it is amazing. I would really appreciate if this add-on was made into Firefox as well as standalone Windows add-on. I use several Windows applications outside of Chrome, and a standalone version would make my life so much easier. In fact, I wrote this entire review using the Voicy add-on.
This extension is amazingly simple and powerful at the same time!
I have used this extension for about six weeks. I've tried other products like it, and, so far, Voicy is the most user-friendly, and it really improves my workflow. I write so many emails in the course of a day, and it helps take the strain off my wrists and my fingers. There are a few learning curves that revolve around using "voice-2-text behavior" in regard to our phones & text messaging vs. the way Voicy operates. For example, you don't have to say the word "period" when you want to end a sentence. I find myself doing that, because I'm used to it. Another thing is, if you pause in the middle of the recording, as you're thinking about a sentence, or sentence structure, Voicy will think that's a comma, and it is a good thing it does that.
I saw the author mention this on reddit in the Claude forum. I tried it out and it is a nice and easy way to transcript text if you have a lot you want to say to Claude (or anywhere else I imagine) and don't want to type it all out.
Very good for filling in long forms!
The speech recognition works similar to the ChatGPT app where you start it, say everything at once, and end the conversation. It seems to be more accurate than the leading Voice In extension.
