Nice to see this functionality finally making it back to Chrome. After peeping the source code it's pretty easy to tell that this isn't going to be able to do PIP on every website; developers have the choice of disabling PIP while still allowing them to use other APIs, which makes sense. I'm happy it works on YouTube but in general won't hold my breath for anything else. Also seeing this previously removed from Chrome and then being implemented in other browsers (Safari on macOS) made me wonder what happened. So far the extension is super simple and I think needs a little bit of polish: one thing that I would definitely want to add would be here: if (videos.length === 0) return; Can we at least get an alert that tells you PIP isn't going to happen on that website? There's currently no user feedback so you might be left wondering if you even invoked the extension. For now, there are other options that fill the gap of a "proper" PIP experience. I like the Helium macOS app even though it's definitely more resource hungry by essentially opening up its own browser to do the PIP. That being said you have many more options as it hooks into the OS' graphical interface quite nicely (transparency, always-on-top windows [overlays], the ability to "click through" windows when using transparency). This does fill the gap for me when it comes to cross-platform PIP. I look forward to always being able to use this script to do the job, but honestly it's nothing more than a small script with an extension wrapper. To cut down on resource usage, it might be better to run this in an extension that manages userscripts, like Tamper Monkey. At least in that way we can code in an alert when there's no PIP-able videos on the current page :D

Really not happy. Just tried this for the first time with the intention of using it with YouTube TV, and it doesn't work at all. Using updated Chrome browser on Windows 10. I've tried every workaround I could find. YouTube TV is Google, right? One would assume this Google extension should work.
