This extension allows you to place any web page element into an Always-on-Top window, similar to video Picture-in-Picture mode, but now for any element.
It utilizes a new Document Picture-in-Picture API (https://developer.chrome.com/docs/web-platform/document-picture-in-picture) and works natively in Chrome, Edge, and Opera browsers for desktop. Whether you want to have a video with proper controls and subtitles on top of your screen or an article that you are taking inspiration from before your eyes, this extension will help you.
Please note, however, that some pages will not behave correctly when their elements are in PiP mode.
How to use:

make it work for images, idk if it does i tried it with my computer link and the discord link
this is a good extension but my issue is that the element i chose can't be controlled (can't pause/player player etc). Also a bit tedious at each use to choose an element, select ok... there is even a 'last used element' button that could be handy but require to press select (what is the point lmao??). This is so stupid. Why isn't there any keybind and easy selection fast and smooth...
Quick and straightforward to use. It's cool!
Genuinely mind blowing how this isnt preinstalled with vanilla chrome
I found your post on Reddit after trying many things, all of which failed. And this worked on all pages! Now I can enjoy series and movies while I draw. Thank you for doing this. My only problem is that I would like the mini menu to hide after a few seconds, like YouTube does with its native minimize option. Other than that, 10/10.
Best... Thank you so much! 😊 Very useful while watch the Code tutorial!
Document Picture-in-Picture API is not supported Chrome latest version...
thank you for this omg. there's this website i'm watching videos/livestreams on that doesn't allow picture-on-picture so this is very convenient
Love this extension. Didn't realize how much I needed to Picture-In-Picture EVERYTHING. Only (tiny) issue I've noticed: Clicking the "fullscreen" button on a video that's in PiP mode doesn't work as expected. Instead of full screen, it becomes a fixed size (albeit much bigger) and unmovable window. Not sure why the person a few comments below had subtitle problems, but they work for me. Big fan of this one, thanks for your effort Borys
omg thank you for this! i'm now able to do my work while i see a timer from a website.. i'm glad i saw your reddit post
