Product summary

Review the store description, core capabilities, and common use cases.

This extension was designed to address a recurring friction point in web scraping: the difficulty of obtaining precise, reliable CSS paths for scripts. This tool was built out of necessity because standard "Copy Selector" browser features often produce paths that are either too brittle (overly dependent on specific DOM structures) or too generic (returning hundreds of unwanted matches).

When building web scrapers, the most time-consuming task is often identifying the exact CSS class hierarchy that isolates the data you need without including "noise." Most existing tools don't allow for the granular manipulation of the class hierarchy before you copy it. This tool was developed to fill that gap, providing a workspace to "clean" and test selectors directly in the browser before moving them into a scraping script.

Core Functionality:

- Dynamic Hierarchy Reconstruction: Unlike standard inspectors, this tool captures the full parent-child lineage of a clicked element and displays it as a stack of interactive "chips".

- Class-Level Granularity: You can toggle individual classes on or off within the path. If a specific class looks like a dynamic hash (e.g., `_ads_123x`), you can ignore it with one click to create a more stable, generalized selector.

- Text Selection Mode: For cases where elements are difficult to click, you can highlight a string of text on the page, and the tool will reverse-engineer the CSS path for the elements containing that specific text.
