Allows you to change the new tab page to the New Tab Redirect app page, or a custom URL of your choice!
Choose from chrome's about pages, *NewTab, Extensions, Downloads, History*, a few popular URLs, or provide your own. Your custom tab can also be a local file, allowing you to create your own new tab page. Saving blank text will cause your new tab to be about:blank.
Files can begin with: file:\\, file://, and file:///
Important: This is not meant to replace your homepage, only new tabs. If your browser is set to load the New Tab page as your homepage, there may be odd consequences.
Note: Because this extension perform a "redirect", I have no control over address bar highlighting or focus.

Very good. The blinking soccer championship banner was supper annoying. It's nice that you can replace it with about:blank.

I cannot see, after half an hour of clicking on everything I can see on my screen, how to add the URL I want as the home page. It must be hidden somewhere, but I simply cannot see it.
Thanks. Another Google stupidity... Why opening the "no url" tab by default ? Why not letting the user DECIDE ? Mystery... PS : for user having issue, uninstall the extension, restart chrome completely, reinstall the extension, then the first tome you do CTRL+T Chrome will alert you about a page modification, you MUST says "KEEP".
The fact that brave needs this extension is... well extremely uncomfortable. Good to know that there is an extension like this. It is simple It's easy to understand It's easily installed
not working for me
Doesn't work for local files. (Permissions given as described in extension options, file is readable, etc.)
This works for a single browser. Doesn't seem to work when I select 'sync url with other browsers'. Also, entering changing the URL doesn't work. Just sticks to the 'New tab redirect' page.
me parece muy intrusiva, esta viendo mis datos y hay que darle accesos para hacer cambios. No me gusta.
It works perfectly! I really thought my browser was able to do this itself until I realized it can't, so this saves an extra step by not having to press home every time I open a new tab in Chrome! That's a lot of saved clicks which equates to saved time and money!
