I previously heavily relied upon setting shortcuts for chrome using the site search functionality in chrome://settings/searchEngines.

Recently chrome removed support for site searches that do not include a placeholder.

So a shortcut like c/cal that would take me to https://calendar.google.com no longer works.

This extension allows you to define shortcuts like that, using the prefix "c" (then tab) to enter the extensions omniSearch.
