This is the companion extension for the Chrome Remote Desktop website (https://remotedesktop.google.com). This extension enables you to install, view, and modify the Chrome Remote Desktop native client from the web UI.

Chrome Remote Desktop allows users to remotely access another computer through Chrome browser or a Chromebook. Computers can be made available on an short-term basis for scenarios such as ad hoc remote support, or on a more long-term basis for remote access to your applications and files. All connections are fully secured.

Chrome Remote Desktop is fully cross-platform. Provide remote assistance to Windows, Mac and Linux users, or access your Windows and Mac desktops at any time, all from the Chrome browser on virtually any device, including Chromebooks.

The biggest issue with the swap is Google provided no centralized migration path for in place business users. I was able to use Gsuite to push out and enforce CRD usage with the app. Unfortunately, due to the manner in which the app was installed, it requires each desktop to be touched. The only way around it is to attempt to push the .msi to all PCs and still deal with configuration issues. I have been a long time user (personal and business) of CRD, from it's clunky beta through now. Yes the web way is easier (for google) but for existing users and adopters in business the switchover is a nightmare. Especially for an already understaffed IT department.

用 MacOS 連線到 Linux 時，都出現「需要移除舊版 Chrome remote」的警告訊息，但我移除並重新使用網頁版的之後，也還是一直出現警告訊息。到現在都完全不能連線了。而此時若以 iPhone 的 Google 遠多桌面試圖連到 Linux，會出現「偵測到不相容的通訊協定版本。請確認兩台電腦都安裝了最新版本的軟體，然後再試一次」的錯誤訊息。實在是不知道怎麼做才好。
