This is the companion extension for the Chrome Remote Desktop website (https://remotedesktop.google.com). This extension enables you to install, view, and modify the Chrome Remote Desktop native client from the web UI.

Chrome Remote Desktop allows users to remotely access another computer through Chrome browser or a Chromebook. Computers can be made available on an short-term basis for scenarios such as ad hoc remote support, or on a more long-term basis for remote access to your applications and files. All connections are fully secured.

Chrome Remote Desktop is fully cross-platform. Provide remote assistance to Windows, Mac and Linux users, or access your Windows and Mac desktops at any time, all from the Chrome browser on virtually any device, including Chromebooks.

It's free and it works, I have looked for free remote access programs so I do not have to spend an arm and a leg to access my work computer from home and vice versa and it works great. In fact the new web remote access works so much smoother then the app and so much nicer.

Excellent app - fast and easy to use... once you RTFM! For iPad/iPhone users: Use gestures while using a computer remotely You can use gestures while remotely accessing a computer. Scroll up or down: Swipe with two fingers. Click and drag: Drag with a finger. Zoom: Pinch and stretch with two fingers. Show keyboard: Swipe up with three fingers. Show the toolbar app: Swipe down with three fingers. Move the mouse: Swipe anywhere on the screen (only in Trackpad mode). Left click: Tap the screen. Right click: Tap the screen with two fingers (only in Trackpad mode). WHY DID YOU REMOVE THE DESKTOP APP!!! It worked beautifully and reliably for my needs. The browser one is awful... since it is in the browser, now I have lost even more real estate then before, and I cannot get it to resize the remote desktop to fit in the window. This worked in the desktop app. I use this mostly to remote into my main computer from my smaller laptop, which is connected to two monitors and at a higher resolution, so now nothing fits in the remote session. Very very disappointed. I loved the desktop app, this breaks it to the point where it is unusable. I am posting my review in both the old unsupported extension (which doesn't even work now, thanks a bunch for the transition period) and in this one for the new and terrible browser app... that's how upset I am!

This is garbage. Stops working with out any notice or indication. Google should buy TeamViewer and stop embarrassing themselves. How many over-paid "geniuses" did it take to screw this up? For your own mental well-being ... seek remote access software elsewhere.

Uunusually slow... Absolutely unusable. I see the remote desktop, but unable to wait to press only one button... (WIth same partener & same connection, RDP and Teamviwer is near realtime fast.)

quisiera preguntar una duda que tengo. me conecto a dos mac distintas con un samsung j7 y lo unico que funciona mal es que el teclado solo es numerico, no aparece el qwerty del samsung para escribir en las terminales, alguien me da una mano?ya empareje los idiomas en todos los dispositivos y los teclados no puedo porque las mac usan uno y el celular el suyo nativo. gracias
